Ben Rinnes 840m (2756ft)
This distinctive hill has a neat and shapely profile with a large granite tor not far below its summit on its west ridge.
The hill offers a popular and rewarding walk for its views over eight counties as well as the Moray Firth on a clear day. Near the summit are the remains of a Wellington bomber which crashed in 1943. Two of the crew were killed while three baled out. The hill is usually climbed from the south-east where there is a car park just off the Glenrinnes road.
