Kintyre Way

Starting in Tarbert and ending in Dunaverty covering 87 miles. Good for beginners.

Kintyre Way is in the south of Scotland and covers a distance of 87 miles (104km) it is another good route for beginners, although the last leg can be a little difficult if the weather has been wet, but it’s nothing a bit of determination can’t overcome. The walk starts in Tarbert, (a very nice two hour drive from Glasgow) and finishes in Dunaverty. The walk covers some of the most remote parts of this area, but it includes walking through some of Scotland’s small fishing communities and experiencing some jaw dropping views of the peninsula and the islands which surround Kintyre, which include Arran, Jurra and the mainland of Northern Ireland.
