A'Chleit Beach

A'Chleit Beach
A special beach with fine white sand close to a historic church.
A'Chleit beach is reached from the car park beside the historic 18th century A'Chleit Church. The beach runs south from the rocky headland behind the church and is backed by small dunes and a well grazed field - one of the best places in the West Highlands to see spring squill flowering. A'Chleit, the Gaelic for promontory is pronounced 'Klaych'
