Oronsay East Beaches

Oronsay East Beaches
A series of beautiful sandy beaches along Oronsay’s sheltered eastern shore.
Lovely, small, sheltered beaches along the sheltered east coast of Oronsay, from here there are great views south to the distinctive Paps of Jura. The ruined building was used to store coal, at one time Oronsay’s only source of fuel. It was unloaded on the beach here from Puffers – the flat bottomed small cargo steamers that once served all the Western Isles.
