A sheltered, easily accessible beach on Colonsay’s west coast.
Surprisingly sheltered, this delightful beach, with several small coves, is easily accessed. It is a short drive down across the golf course from the main road. Just to the north, and well worth visiting, is a particularly impressive raised beach. It was formed in the post-glacial period 6000 to 7000 years ago when sea levels were substantially higher.
