Westport Beach

Westport Beach
A superb beach backed by massive sand dunes, it is a well known surfing spot
This famous beach at the north end of Machrihanish Bay faces the Atlantic and has long been a popular surfing spot. It is reached by a signposted car park just off the A83. If the wind is blowing you will find plenty of shelter among the large sand dunes, one of the few places in Scotland to find the spectacular pyramid orchid, from the end of July.
