Ben Cruachan 1126m (3694ft)
A prominent pointed peak rising above a complex and superb ridge system that has become one of the most loved and finest mountains in Scotland.
The highest of a series of peaks along a defined and at times precipitous ridge system that sits above the north shores of Loch Awe. The summit is a culminating point of four defined ridges making the summit peak very step. There is a corrie in the southern flank of the mountain, home to the dammed Cruachan Reservoir. To access the mountain is from the south at Loch Awe where a path goes to the reservoir.
