The princess of Scottish mountains has a very distinguished and elegant steep, slender shape.
Undoubtedly this is one of the finest looking mountains in the Highlands. Although it has a conical shape it has twin summits with dipping ridges that embrace a beautiful hanging corrie as seen from Coronish. The corrie holds snow well and Central Gully is one of the best winter mountaineering ascents in the country, it might also hold debris of a Lockheed Hudosn that crashed into the mountain in 1941. The best access is up Glen Coronish, which is also home to one of Scotland’s only gold mines.
