Treshnish Isles
These delightful islands are well known for their breeding seabirds, with large numbers of puffins, razorbills and guillemots. Grey seals calve here between September and October. Regular boat trips.
This spectacular group of islands just to the west of the island of Mull have long been famous for their seabird colonies. The puffins are particularly tame and you'll also see many thousands of guillemots, razorbills, kittiwakes and fulmars. Great Skuas and storm petrels also breed there. The islands are also well known for their grey seals. Between September and October they come ashore to calve. Over a thousand seal pups may be seen here. Autumn is a good time to see barnacle geese.
