Beinn Udlamain 1010m (3314ft)
Beinn Udlamain 1010m (3314ft)
The highest peak on the west side of Drummochter Pass has a featureless, plateaued summit and hidden from view.
A good circular walk is to incorporate all four Munros. Starting at the Balnasporran cottages, climb up Geal Charn 917m, then on to A’ Mharconaich 975m, the most shapely hill with a nice scooped out north east Corrie, followed by the flat topped Beinn Udlamain and finally Sgairneach Mhor 991m, with its obvious flat rimmed coire facing the road. In winter this traverse can be good for ski touring.
