Cairn Gorm 1245m (4085ft)
The whole of the Cairngorms massif derives its name from this most northerly peak.
Atypical of the Cairngorms, this is another pudding shaped mountain. It is also home to the oldest ski centre in Scotland, along with a funicular railway and a weather station atop its summit. It pairs with the Northern Corries to form the Northern fringe of the Cairngorm Plateau as seen from Loch Morlich. The summit can be attained quite easily on good paths from the ski centre car park.
