A rounded and heathery hill with a flat, stony summit and steeper slopes on its eastern flank that sweep into Glen Callater.

The summit of the hill is on the fringe of a massive upland plateau known as The Mounth. The hill can easily be accessed by the Glen Shee road to its west.
