Sgor Gaoith 1118m (3668ft)
This is the highest peak of the western Cairngorm Mountains.
The summit of this lofty peak can be seen from the west as a tiny point rising above the main ridge. It has very steep and craggy flanks to Glen Einich in the east, and long slopes to the river Feshie in the west. It is accessed from a car park some way down the east bank of the River Feshie, from where a good footpath leads onto the summit plateau. There are good views to the west and Ben Nevis can be seen on a clear day.
