The Cairnwell 933m (3061ft)

The Cairnwell 933m (3061ft)
A steep grassy hill on the west side of the Glen Shee summit pass.
This hill rises steeply above the summit of the Glen Shee road (the highest road in Scotland at 670m). Its s lopes and that of its northern outlier, Carn Aosda 917m provide the skiing on the west side of Glen Shee itself. Remains of a Vickers Wellington can supposedly be found on Carn Aosda’s northern slopes at GR (136803). Walking to the summit of these peaks must be the easiest of any in Scotland.
