Goat Fell 874m (2867ft)

The highest point on the Isle of Arran, it is a popular peak with several access routes. One of the most commonly used with an excellent footpath starts from near Brodick Castle. During World War II several aircraft crashed on Goat Fell and the surrounding hills. They were on the approach to Prestwick then a busy transatlantic airport.
