Loudoun Hill

A small volcanic plug rising out of the surrounding countryside.

Loudoun Hill is stepped in history. This is where the Battle of Loudoun Hill took place on the 10th May 1307, where Robert the Bruce was victorious over the English forces. An Iron Age settlement is also located on the South East slopes. The rock is now popular with both walkers and rock climbers alike.
