Farr Bay

Farr Bay
A superb beach, it is just a short walk from the main road.
This sheltered, gently sloping beach is signposted from the A836. It is reached by a 350m footpath from the roadside car park. Just back from the beach is the imposing Farr Church built in 1774 on the site of a far older church. The graveyard has a beautifully carved early celtic cross. The church, now the Strathnaver Museum has exhibitions and information on the Strathnaver Clearances and Clan Mackay.
