Baosbheinn 875m (2871ft)
Another fine mountain lost in amongst the wild tracts of land between Torridon and Loch Maree.
This mountain, with its five distinct peaks along its ridge, has much character. And because it is quite isolated on the western seaboard, it has some great views too. Beneath the northwest slopes is the largest protalus rampart (linear ridges of rocky debris deposited by rocks riding over depleting snowbeds) in the country. Access to the hills is from the ‘Red Barn’, with limited parking on the A832. The approach is long, but a circuit should be considered to combine it with its sister hill, Beinn an Eoin (855m).
