Beinn Dearg (Ullapool) 1084m (3556ft)
The highest summit in the vast area north of the Dirrie Mor is a fine and bulky mountain.
The region has a number of Munros and remote areas of high ground and summits, such as the very distant summit of Seana Bhraigh 927m. However this vast dome-shaped mountain is the highest and has many hidden north-facing cliffs providing some superb ice climbing in the winter. It’s also archetypal and popular stalking country too. The views from the lofty summit, to the Fannich Mountains in the south and to An Teallach in the west, are superb.
