Beinn Lair 859m (2818ft)
A massive, remote mountain with a very flat summit that swells into a slight dome.
This mountain can readily be seen from Loch Maree as vast undulating slopes rise to the summit. However the north side of the mountain is one of the longest stretches of impregnable cliff in Scotland. There are many rocky buttresses and gullies, most if not all, require scrambling and climbing ability. Access is distant and best from Poolewe in the west unless you kayak across Loch Maree and then the access is short.
