The height and isolation of this mountain in the far north make it a superb and distinctive peak.
This steep, isolated mountain is the most northerly Munro. It is easily accessible via a steep path from Strathmore to its west that gains the south ridge leading to the summit. The alternative north ridge route gives a very exposed and exciting walk/scramble. Ascending to the summit by either ridge is like taking an elevator into the sky with panoramic views all around, especially across the Pentland Firth to the Orkney Islands.
