A majestic mountain on Scotland’s north coast - it is known as the ‘Queen of Scottish Mountains’.

This superb, castellated mountain, surrounded by low-lying ground, looks far higher than it actually is. The best approach is from the road head at Ribigill, south of Tongue. The summit plateau, with its fine granite tors, offers magnificent views across the wild tracts of Sutherland. A Handley Page Hampden crashed into the mountain in 1943 due to a thunderstorm in the mist.
