Although not high, this is a substantial mountain perched on the Achiltibuie peninsula.

This fine mountain with its isolated position rises into a complex array of peaks, cliffs and corries in a superb position above the sea. The Fhidhleir peak as seen from the north is a remarkable sight, and ‘the nose’ is a prestigious climbing challenge in summer and winter. Views from the mountain’s long, defined and flat summit ridge to the Summer Isles and distant mountains are truly memorable. Walking to the summit from the road head at Culnacraig on the southwest side is the easiest, but requires the longest drive.
