This impressive and foreboding mountain is unfortunately just short of 3000ft.
The mountain dominates the view above Achnashellach. Out of view is the frightening Mainreachan Buttress; this can just be seen in profile from Glen Carron and the mountain is sometimes dubbed Wellington’s Nose because of it. The best access is from the railway station at Achnashellach; luckily the path goes round the back of the mountain to reach the top.
