This awesome, castellated mountain rises majestically above the shores of Loch Maree.
The view across Loch Maree to this superb mountain is one of the finest views in the whole of the Highlands of Scotland. The mountain derives its name from the more remote viewpoint from Loch Fada in the north where the mountain appears more ‘spear-like’. The best approach is from the village of Kinlochewe and involves some distance walking around Loch Maree before the slopes can be obtained. The view from the summit is expansive and one of the most coveted in Scotland.
