Spidean a'Choire Leith (Liathach) 1055m (3461ft)
This is the highest peak of Liathach, possibly Scotland’s most fearsome and majestic mountain.
This stupendous and incredibly steep mountain has impregnable flanks with beautiful corries carved into its northern side. This, the main summit is a graceful pyramid sitting to the east of a very exposed ridge that comprises a precarious set of pinnacles that require exposed scrambling. The northern corries of the mountain host some of the best pure ice climbs in the country. The best access to the ridge is from Torridon village to the southwest where the slopes are a little less steep.
