This little and almost impregnable peak is one of the finest and most dramatic in Scotland.

To many, this saddle-ridged, twin-topped peak with almost fully impregnable flanks is one of the most famous and dramatic peaks of the region. It was originally named by the Vikings, described as viewed from the coast. Although the summit looks inaccessible, it can be climbed quite easily via the col (Bealach Mor) on the south side via an arduous walk over unrelenting terrain from near Lochinver. The views on the summit ridge in either direction and beyond are bordering on spiritual. Well worth the walk and a ‘must do’.
