Carse Bay
A wide sandy beach, next to the historic village of Carsethorn.
This sandy beach stretches north from the village of Carsethorn - a once important port. It was from here than many emigrant ships sailed to North America and Australia during the 1700s and 1800s. The remains of the jetty from which passengers embarked can still be seen.Signposted off the A710 at Kirkbean. Inn, car park and public toilets in the village.
