Built around 1570 by Sir Thomas MacLellan of Bombie, this castle is based in the heart of Kirkcudbright.

The castle was built in about 1570 by Sir Thomas MacLellan of Bombie. Look for the laird's lug, a spy hole in the great hall through which the lord could eavesdrop on his guests.
