Departing Edinburgh, the tour heads west towards Glasgow navigating past some of Glasgows key landmarks and out towards Loch Lomond our first stop. On arrival at Loch Lomond, take the chance to enjoy an hour-long cruise on the loch or a wander along the loch side taking in the spectacular scenery. The tour continues on to Aberfoyle, a small village within the celebrated Lomond and Trossachs National Park, arguably one of Europe's most beautiful locations at the southern edge of the West Highland Fault. With a lunch stop here of just over an hour, there is a great chance to explore the area and shop for traditional Edinburgh Woollen Mill tweeds and cashmeres at The Scottish Wool Centre. Departing around half past one, the afternoon section of the tour takes us to the 14th century Doune Castle - a once medieval stronghold near the village of Doune retained now as an impressive courtyard castle and a key film location for numerous productions including 'Outlander' and 'Game of Thrones'.On leaving Doune Castle, the tour returns to Edinburgh passing through Stirling, Falkirk and Linlithgow.
