Erected in 1910 in memory of the officers and men of the Black Watch regiment who died during the 1899 – 1902 Boer War.
This monument was erected in 1910 in memory of the officers and men of the Black Watch regiment who died during the 1899 – 1902 Boer War in South Africa. While many soldiers were killed in action or died of their wounds equal numbers died of disease, particularly typhoid.
