John Knox House and Scottish Storytelling Centre
The oldest house on the Royal Mile, with an exhibition on its two most famous residents. John Knox and James Mossman.
This 16th century Town House, the oldest house on the Royal Mile, now houses an exhibition about its two most famous residents. John Knox, leader of the reformation in Scotland and James Mossman, goldsmith to Mary Queen of Scots. Imagine what it was like with only candles for light and the heat from the massive fire place making little impact on the cold thick stone.
