The birthplace of the University of Edinburgh, the Old College was constructed between 1789 and 1827.
The birthplace of the University of Edinburgh, the Old College was constructed between 1789 and 1827. It replaced a collection of dilapidated old university buildings. Built around a quadrangle, today it houses the University administration, the School Law and the Talbot Rice Art Gallery.
