Behind the bay is the prominent Lady's Tower; it was built in the 1770s as a summer house - changing room for Lady Janet Anstruther of Elie House. It was said that when she went swimming in Ruby Bay a bellringer was sent round the town to ensure that people kept away.Seaside Award. Public Toilets.
