Crail fossils

One of Scotland's most spectacular fossil remains can be seen along the shore from the harbour.  The tracks of a metre-long millipede (Arthropleura) that lived in Carboniferous times. Look out also for the fossilised tree-trunks and imprints of various parts of other trees.
