Bidean nam Bian 1150m (3773ft)

A mountain of superlatives, not only is it the highest mountain in Glencoe, it has the raw ingredients of what makes a mountain great.

This complex mountain of hidden glens and waterfalls, inhospitable cliffs, remote corries, superb ridges and airy peaks is the highest in Glencoe and one of the most definitive mountains in Scotland. The main summit is hidden well back from the formidable guarding peaks known as the three sisters. The best approach is from the car park at the west side of Loch Achtrioctan, where the mountain looks formidable behind the white cottage.
