Carn Dearg - Glen Roy 843m (2766ft)

A sprawling hill with a moorland plateau type summit; the Northwest slopes into Glen Roy are steep and quite craggy in parts.

This vast heather clad hill has a flat summit plateau; its northern flanks are steep and precipitous in places. The 'Parallel Roads' linearly cross the lower flanks of the hill. These were supposed to have formed due to old shorelines of an ancient loch, long since gone. The best access is from Glen Roy to the northwest.
