Creag Meagaidh 1130m (3707ft)
A sprawling mountain that is majestic in many ways- one of the finest in the region.
This substantial, complex mountain has a high summit plateau from which radiate a number of ridges to satellite peaks. However the most impressive feature is the massive cliffs of Coire Ardair nestled in to the mountain’s eastern flank, here the cliffs are up to 450 (1500ft) high and are home to some of the finest Ice Climbs in Scotland. The best approach is from the large car park at Aberader, which is on the north shore of Loch Laggan. The well-formed path swings round into Coire Ardair and the mountain can be seen in all its glory. The views from the top are superb and expansive.
