Meall Dearg (Aonach Eagach) 953m (3127ft)
This is the easterly and second highest peak (and Munro) on the famous Aonach Eagach ridge.
The north side of Glencoe rises steeply and treacherously up to a very airy and spectacular ridge known as the Aonach Eagach between its tow main Munros; this is the easterly one. The ridge is precipitous and rocky and requires scrambling and good head for heights. It draws walkers and scramblers from far and wide. The peak can be accessed via Glen Coe to the south but to the east of the summit where the slopes begin to relent a little.
