Sgorr Dhearg (Beinn a'Bheithir) 1024m (3360ft)

A superb eye catching mountain rising gracefully up from the head of Loch Leven into two prominent peaks, Sgorr Dhearg 1024m and Sgorr Dhonuill 1001m.

This amazing peak rises relentlessly up from sea level to a pointed summit. The lower slopes are forested but the upper slopes trend into fine ridges. The elevated ridge between the summits is defined and the 360 degree views are magical. The best approach is up the north ridge from South Ballachulish, a km west of the Ballachulish Bridge.
