Stob Dearg (Buachaille Etive Mor) 1021m (3350ft)
This stupendous and grandiose peak rising out of the flats of Rannoch Moor is probably Scotland’s most photographed mountain.
A truly breath-taking and regal peak that guards the head of Glencoe. It swoops up steeply from Rannoch Mor giving it an air of superiority, even amongst it’s higher neighbouring peaks. It has very steep and rocky flanks that have been a honeypot for climbers, summer and winter, for over a century. Access is from the car park on the A82 at Altnafeadh.
