Provand's Lordship

Provand's Lordship
Provand's Lordship is the oldest house in Glasgow, set in the heart of the most ancient part of the city.
Provand's Lordship was built in 1471. It was originally part of a hospital. It is one of only four medieval buildings to survive in Glasgow. The house has been extensively restored, and houses a donation of 17th-century furniture by Sir William Burrell. Visiting Provand's Lordship provides a real flavour of what a home interior of around 1700 would have looked like.
