Cawdor Castle, one of Scotland's most outstanding stately homes, has a magical name which is romantically linked with Macbeth by Shakespeare.The medieval tower and drawbridge are still intact and generations of art lovers and scholars are responsible for the eclectic collection of paintings, tapestries, furniture and books to be found in the castle. Cawdor is fortunate enough to have three gardens: the Walled Garden, the Flower Garden and the Wild Garden, few Scottish castles have such superb gardens.
