Quiraing, Skye

Quiraing, Skye
One of the oddest landscapes in Scotland.
One of the oddest landscapes in Scotland and the result of ‘rotational slippage’ – the breaking-off of sections of an escarpment of ancient lavas as the clays and limestones beneath fail to support the lavas’ weight. Particular features include ‘The Table’, ‘The Needle’ and ‘The Prison’.
