The Storr

The Storr
A much admired and very bizarre peak situated near the northern end of Skye.
This is the highest point of the long and superb ridge known as the Trotternish ridge. This peak itself has easy angled and boggy western flanks, and then large precipitous cliffs dropping straight from the summit on the eastern side. Most famously of all is the Old Man of Storr, which is a 30m (100ft) high obelisk sitting at the base of the summit cliffs. It is one of Scotland’s most photographed skylines.
