Dawyck Botanic Garden

Explore Dawyck's wild woodland walks, majestic specimen trees and secret delights in a historic landscaped setting in the Scottish Borders.

In the depths of the Scottish Borders countryside, Dawyck Botanic Garden has a stunning collection of trees and shrubs. After over 300 years of tree planting, Dawyck boasts a world famous arboretum with mature specimens of Brewer's Spruce, the unique Dawyck Beech and some giant trees from North America which are over forty metres tall. These majestic specimens provide an impressive backdrop for the series of walks and trails, highlighting the wealth of native and exotic plants in display, from the highly scented azaleas to unusually hardy rhododendrons. Remember to stop for refreshments, gifts and plants at The Conservatory.
