This amazing group of standing stones is unique in Scotland.
A cross-shaped setting of standing stones erected around 3000 BC. A major ceremonial site, it has a cross-shaped setting and circle, at the centre of which is a 12 foot high monolith. The Visitor Centre at Calanais is managed by the Standing Stones Trust.
